Most of you already know that I have just set up an incubator/ accelerator in Leicester (UK) in partnership with the international entrepreneur and investor, Harun Master. This is definitely a dream come true!

Since a long time ago, I have been dreaming about the moment I would be able to provide a roof and some funding to the budding community of high-growth, web-based startups in the Midlands and elsewhere.

After several false starts, we managed to secure a building in the heart of Leicester, at 119 Granby Street, LE16FD. There we created a co-working space for around 20 startups (£99 p/m) and a separate space for those who want to come and work for just a day (£10 p/d). []

There is also a possibility for you to get a grant to pay for the advanced incubation package, which includes, apart from desk space, access to investors, advice on public funding, exclusive workshops by KPMG, expert mentorship and intense supervision, discounted packages for professional services and many other goodies (£299 p/m). []

In all cases the above packages aim at forging a close knit community in the Midlands that will use local resources to create profitable for all, scalable and repeatable businesses.

The crown in the existing programs, though, is the accelerator we are setting up. We are currently supporting three companies through a six month part-time program. The program aims at helping high-growth startups in the first steps of their venture; startups who do not have the time to enter a full time three-month accelerator in another city. It may also be a viable alternative to those who do not want to give up a substantial percentage of their equity to investors. I will give you more information about that in future newsletters.

In the meantime, I would like to make an appeal to the local community. We need your help to grow! We are looking for:

  1. Experienced and qualified mentors who are passionate about startups and would like to share some of their own wisdom.
  2. Angel investors who are looking for exciting projects and would like to find out more about our startups.
  3. Volunteers to write blog posts to our website; useful and original articles that will help startups grow into a business.
  4. Kind souls who will let the online communities know about our existence in social media.

If you can help in any of the above ways, please, send me an email and we will discuss your involvement further.

If you would like more information about our activities, plans and dreams, please, come to our events! There you will have the chance to learn about business development, form partnerships, get emotional support and drink plenty of tea and coffee. You can find our May events here [], including our opening reception on 21st May at 18:00!

Thank you for the kind support you have already shown to me over the past year.
